Mission Statement
The mission statement of the general environmental health program includes that the local health department be a liaison with other federal, state and local government agencies, permitting and inspecting food establishments, public swimming pools, tattoo parlors, lodging establishments, schools and daycares, campgrounds, mass gatherings, and mobile home parks. The environmental health program also investigates any public health complaints and is involved in all public health surveillance.
