Subdivisions
The division of a parcel of land into two or more parcels is a subdivision. The health department subdivision approval process is not the same as the Jefferson County Planning and Zoning Department or the Impact Fee Office. The health department has its own fee schedule for plan review, plat approvals, site evaluations, and final approvals. Usually it is in the best interest of the developer of property to seek health department approval prior to seeking approval from Jefferson County Planning and Zoning.
